My first show!

Well... Sunday was different, I went out with both my mums to a place that human mum calls a show. I couldn't believe it... there were dogs left right and centre. There were big dogs, little dogs, hairy dogs, scary dogs- wow, I never knew so many dogs existed!!!
I watched as human mum & poodle mum went in to the ring. My poodle mum sure does sure look lovely when she trots, she is so elegant, not too sure about human mum though... hmmmm!
After a while the big judge lady handed my human mum a yellow thingy (apparently it's called a rosette), I think human mum was a bit miffed that the rosette wasn't red- silly mum who cares what colour it is, it still looks good to chew-lol.

And you'll never guess what happened next.....

Human mum decided it was my turn to go in to the ring... oh no.... help..... too many dogs..... too many people watching..... this can't be happening to me..... I'm a crossbreed..... I just wanna sleep.... but human mum had her mind made up & in to the ring we went!

Well, both me & human mum must have looked a right old sight, as I certainly can't move like my poodle mum (my legs are far too big for me at the minute!). & human mum... well we won't even get started on her, she is a human after all.... enough said!

It was very hot and I was getting bored, but human mum said I did very well & was very pleased with my behaviour & guess what... I also got a yellow rosette, which human mum says is 3rd. The only downfall being that I was not allowed to chew my rosette- heck... what was the point in winning it then??

Not much else happened to me after that as I was sent home for being a tired puppy! But poodle mum did something called an agility course, I don't know what that is, but it sure does sound interesting.... I hope when I'm older I can do this agility thing too!

Busy morning!

Well, what a fab morning I have had this morning. I have been down to the river again with both my poodle mum & my human mum, the old dog that is smaller than me came too, even the cat followed us- annoying little thing. It follows us every where & then when I try to play it swings a paw at me!.... cats.... I don't think I'll ever understand them!
Anyway back to my morning events.... well, we headed for the river across the field. Poodle mum & her pal steamed ahead, I wanted to join them- I really did, but my legs just didn't seem to go as fast as theirs, so I took it easy with human mum as she is slow too, even slower than me, but don't tell her I said that- he he!

The river was great fun... by the time me & human mum got there, the other two dogs were already in & poodle mum was sticking her head right under the water, she says she was looking for fish. Personally I think she is bonkers! Water girl I may be, but under water girl I am most certainly not!!!

As I attempted to follow the rest of them in to the river, I stumbled and did a series of somersaults all the way down the hill until splash I was in! I didn't hurt myself, but it was a little scary, I can't say I've ever done somersaults before & you should have seen the look on human mum's face- she looked horrified!- lol.
I loved splashing around in the shallows & chasing poodle mum- the only downfall of that was I ended up with lots of white poodle fluff around my chops- yuk!

We were all wet & caked in mud, except poor human mum who looked dry & left out, so I thought I would do her a massive favour.... I ran up the hill..... &....pounce..... I landed right in her lap. Now she was just like the rest of us- nice & muddy!
After about 40 mins, we headed back, I found it a bit of a struggle to see where I was going in the long grass, so I followed human mum's feet. she is very silly you know as she kept tripping up- I'm not sure why... I was only standing on the back of her fip flops!

Well, after all that fun & all this typing... I think I will be going for a little lie down. Heck, it's hard work being a puppy.... lots of licks, Myrtle x.

Photos of me...

Well here I am.... yep, this is what I look like. Cute aren't I!!
My human mum took these photos of me last week @ 11 weeks of age. I'm now 12 weeks- Wow I'm getting old, where does the time go??
Mum says I'm a right little poser for the camera, but to be honest I just like to keep her entertained!

Welcome

Hi, 'woof' & welcome to my page, I'm a labradoodle puppy called Myrtle, you can read more about me if you have a nosey at my profile.

On another note- Oooops!! I think I did something that I wasn't supposed to do, as I chewed my human mum's battery charger for her camera so now she can't take any new piccies of me..... Whoops a daisy, sorry mum, but I just couldn't resist!

Anyway enjoy my blog, Myrtle x
